First and foremost was the hat trick of 3 WSOP bracelets put on the board by Jeff “The Douche” Lisandro This is only the 4th time in WSOP histroy that somone has claimed 3 titles in one year. The last to do it was Phil Ivey.

Well speaking of the greatest poker player ever, Phil Ivey, he finally actually tried again at the WSOP. Adding two bracelets to the 5 he already had puts him within shouting distance of Hellmuths 11.

That brinsg us to the November 9. I know two these people. One being Jeff “Happy” Schulman, the publisher of Card Player. I personally think he is solely resposnible for the major downturn in poker media coverage. He has said that he might just trhow away the main event bracelet if he wins. The other name at the table, guess who? Phhilip J Ivey himself. Trying to become the only man to win 3 bracelets in two World Series. This is the 4th deep run in the last 8 years for Ivey. If he wins it would be the biggest thing for poker since Chris Moneymaker. Mainly becasue it would make any legislation that poker is not a skill a total joke. So in short TID Ivey.

The Florida legislatire finally passed the bill in May to allow for uncapped poker and table games. The state will receive $150 million each year from the Seminole tribe in exchange for the expanded offerings. This very well could casue a mjor boom in Florida gaming. Overall many states are changing their gambling laws to make up for shortfalls in state budgets.

Last week the Governor of Delware signed into law a bill that will make the state a major player in the gaming world. Not only did they get sports betting, but table games were also approved.

The expectation is that sports betting will be up and operational for the start of the College and Pro football seasons in September. Table games will be introduced around Thanksgiving. Atlantic City should be shaking in their boots.
